We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Dispensary Assistant & Veterinary Care Assistant. This unique role combines responsibilities in both the dispensary and the care of our patients. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dispensary while also providing hands-on care for our patients and support to our veterinary team. The rota includes working 40 hours per week over 5 days. The salary will be up to £24,960 DOE per annum. Dispensary Assistant key responsibilities:

Accurately prepare and dispense medications under the guidance of our veterinary surgeons. Maintain an organised and well-stocked dispensary, managing stock control and placing orders. Ensure all medications are stored correctly and safely. Assist with maintaining accurate medication & stock records. Conduct regular mini stock takes and biannual full practice stock takes across multi-site. Veterinary Care Assistant key responsibilities:

Assist our clinical team with inpatient care. Prepare and maintain clinical areas, ensuring they are clean, tidy, and well-stocked. Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments. Assist with general practice tasks such as cleaning, restocking, and maintaining equipment. We are looking for someone who has experience of stock control, a clinical environment or similar is highly desirable. You must have a passion for animal care and welfare, have strong organisation skills with the ability to multitask, have excellent communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications, the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently, have basic computer skills for record-keeping and inventory management and have a flexible and proactive approach to work.
