Our Independent client in rural Berkshire has a vacancy for an additional Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them.

This practice has been established in the area for over 60 years and is a family-owned, community practice, situated within a beautiful rural setting. They have a highly qualified team striving to provide exceptional care for their clients’ pets and they are a unique practice in the area due to their size, location and independence. The practice sees and enjoys routine work and also performs advanced soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. They also offer their services for surgical referrals from other practices. They don't have out-of-hours call outs but do keep in patients overnight so there are plenty of ongoing medical cases too.

They have renovated extensively in the last 5 years and recently acquired further space on their site with a view to expand their team further over the coming years.

The Role

To provide nursing care to hospitalised patients, including patient monitoring and health checking, feeding, grooming and walking animals. Administer treatments including injections, tablets, fluids and blood transfusions. Performing diagnostic tests, e.g. blood sampling, urine analysis and x-rays. Assisting in all theatre procedures, including orthopaedic and spay/neuter procedures.

The Package

Salary £25,000-35,000 dependent on experience and years qualified RCVS and VDS fees paid External CPD allowance 5 weeks of annual leave plus Bank Holidays Birthday additional day off Employer contribution pension scheme Wellness program This role is easily commutable to and from: Maidenhead Windsor Bray Cookham Marlow
