Purovets has an exciting opportunity available for a Veterinary Surgeon to work alongside some very experienced vets in the industry with various caseloads ranging from dentistry, consulting, medical and surgical work ups and treatments, orthopaedic cases, complex soft tissue surgeries, internal medicine cases and preventative health care cases to name a few. The practice has an experienced and bonded team; there is a very low turnover of staff with over half the team being there for over 10 years. You will have the scope to develop your own caseloads in your niche area of expertise.
Situated within easy walking distance of the town centre, the well-established practice is close to a lovely park with a variety of facilities close to hand. They have a high level of modern equipment including an in-house laboratory, video endoscope, tonopen, ECG, digital X-Ray, an MyLab 25 Gold E-SAOTE ultrasound scanner and dental X-Ray, separate cat and dog wards and all rooms are air-conditioned.
Ideally the role is working up to 40 hours per week across 4/5 days with 1:4 Saturdays (8am-1pm). There is no OOH as all their in-patients are well cared for in their own premises by the Vets Now staff every night, as well as during the weekends and bank holidays. They can also consider part-time working hours as their flexible approach to rota patterns can truly enrich your work/life balance. Whether you need to do the school pick up, need reduced hours during school holidays or would simply like a more flexible rota pattern, they can fix or flex their patterns to suit you and make it easy for you to strike the right balance.
The team consists of 4.5 Veterinary Surgeons and a phenomenal nursing team that cover a huge amount of nurse consults as well as post op checks which comprise of 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses & 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, 3 Receptionists and 2 Office Staff. CPD is encouraged and well-supported with an excellent CPD budget and additional staff benefits.
The practice is situated in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, just a short walking distance from the town centre that offers a variety of facilities close at hand, and also close to a lovely park for relaxation. Hemel Hempstead is only 30 minutes away by train from London, and 15 minutes from Luton airport.
