We’re looking for a confident Veterinary Surgeon with experience in both farm and companion animal work. A valid driving license is essential for the role. About Glenshane Veterinary Clinic

Our team consists of 6 Veterinary Surgeons, including 4 with over 20 years of experience, supported by a dedicated Veterinary Nursing and Support team. We operate from three branches, located at the foot of the picturesque Sperrin Mountains. Two of our branches are equipped with farm animal handling facilities, and our main branch is fully equipped for both farm and small animal practice. Our tools include easy scan, small animal ultrasound, IDEXX lab station, X-ray, endoscope, ECG, and more. We also have excellent kenneling and stabling facilities, a small ruminant operating table, and a horse stock. In our small animal practice, we handle routine consults, internal medicine cases, soft tissue surgery, some orthopaedics, and any emergency surgeries that arise. We mostly treat cats, dogs, and small furries, but we occasionally see reptiles and birds! If you're looking for a role with a supportive team and a varied caseload in a beautiful rural setting, we'd love to hear from you! Work-Life Balance

We offer flexible working patterns that adapt to your lifestyle. Whether you need to adjust your rota hours for school holidays or to navigate school runs, we can offer flexibility that works for all team members. The standard full-time vet rota consists of a 40-hour week, working 1 weekend in 4 with a long weekend off in lieu the following week. There is an OOH requirement to work 1 night per week on call, in the winter months and 1 night per week every fortnight in summer months. Although this is advertised as a full-time role, we are open to both full-time and part-time applications. Life Beyond Work
