Develop your veterinary career with us at Rayleigh Vets for Pets!

You’ll be joining a close-knit team working alongside a very experienced Clinical Director, 2 other vets including one that has completed their dermatology certificate, 4 RVN's, 2 student nurses, 3 VCA's & a client care team.

This is a full time position with weekends on a fair rota basis (1:4 weekends) shared with the rest of the team. There’s no on call, bank holidays or OOH requirements. You should be confident in routine surgical and medical cases and comfortable with sole charge.

Building your skills and furthering your interests is as important to us as it is to you. By joining us as a Veterinary Surgeon, we’ll support you whatever your career goals, including if you want to pursue a postgraduate qualification or certificate.

We have a purpose-built practice with state-of-the-art equipment and through our loyal and expanding client base and varied caseload, we aim to deliver top class clinical standards and client care. You’ll be joining an inclusive, caring team who are looking forward to welcoming a new vet into our family-feel practice.

Rayleigh is a historic market town located between Chelmsford and Southend-on-Sea, only 32 miles east of central London. The practice is a very short walk to the high street and Rayleigh train station which will take you straight into London Liverpool street in 40 minutes. There is plenty of free parking near the practice and it is on a main bus route for commuting purposes.

We have the bright lights of the city on our doorstep, great local amenities and have easy access to the open spaces and beaches of the Essex coastline - one of the longest shorelines of any county in England - so there’s plenty to discover and we make sure you have the work/life balance to enjoy it.

As standard, along with a competitive salary of up to £65,000 + £5,000 relocation allowance, we offer all the benefits you’d expect from a major employer (pension, healthcare, paid memberships plus a few more, such as excellent career progression, exclusive lifestyle and shopping discounts (up to 30% off at Pets at Home), and relocation packages from within or outside the UK, including visa sponsorship if wanted (we’re an A+ rated sponsor).

So, if you share our passion for delivering outstanding pet healthcare and exceptional customer service, we would love to hear from you.

Pets just see people. And just like pets, we embrace everyone’s differences. We work to break down barriers, attract and develop diverse talent, and create a culture that allows everyone to be the best they can be.

Our diversity and inclusion vision is that everyone is welcome and feels part of our business. If you think you’re a good match to what we are looking for, and you share our belief that together ‘we’re better with pets’, we’re waiting to hear from you, whatever your background or circumstances.

For a confidential conversation about the role and more information please contact Jack Nesteruk on COvet@vets4pets.com.
