Veterinary Surgeon - Shropshire

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join the team at a newly refurbished small animal practice in the beautiful county of Shropshire. This is a growing clinic with a highly motivated and expanding team, and you will be working alongside their highly motivated head vet who has a particular interest in cardiology and dermatology.

The head vet has a certificate in dermatology and is looking to recruit a competent and equally dedicated veterinary surgeon to work alongside. CPD and broader professional development would actively be encouraged, and you would be the third vet in this growing and supportive team. Full or part time working can be negotiated for the right candidate along with a salary and benefits package to match your experience level. The full time hours would be 39 per week worked over 4 days, plus weekend work.

The practice runs on 15-minute appointments and has a healthy client base. They have typical equipment such as multiparameter monitoring, k-laser, Tonopen, digital x-ray and an Imagyst machine. You will also have access to further piece of equipment such as scopes, lap spay kit, CT, dental x-ray and hydrotherapy at the practice's out of hours provider.

You will be working in Shrewsbury, a historic town in Shropshire that is known for its medieval architecture and picturesque river views. Encircled by the River Severn, it boasts over 600 listed buildings, including Shrewsbury Castle and Abbey, offering a rich blend of history and scenic beauty. Shrewsbury's transport links include a central railway station with connections to major cities like Birmingham, Manchester, and Cardiff as well as the A5 and A49 roads, providing easy access to regional and national destinations and enhancing its connectivity for residents and visitors alike.

Role: Salary up to £60,000 DOE 4 days, 39 hours a week Weekend rota No OOHs Full or part-time options available
