We have an opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys both surgery and consulting, to join our team at Lockwood Vet Group. This is a split role between our Burton & Highland sites. The role can be tailored towards your own clinical interests. Please note that some shifts will be sole charge, so we’re looking for a candidate that is confident with this. For this role, you will join a team that is composed of 3 Vets, as well as our experienced, friendly team of RVN's and support staff. We're keen to offer a relocation allowance of up to £5000, as well as a welcome bonus of up to £5000 (pro rata).
Work life balance that works for you
We are proud to say our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours truly tips the scale on your work life balance. We know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career, and we want to make it brilliantly easy for you to strike the right balance. Whether you are looking for a full-time or part-time role, we are sure we can find the right rota pattern for you. Typically, this role would be full-time worked over a four-day week, between 9:00am and 6:30pm, plus Saturdays from 9:00am to 5:00pm on a rota basis. No out-of-hours requirements will be needed.
About us
We are a reputable, friendly, compassionate, and progressive group. Established for nearly 30 years, we have 9 branches across the West Midlands, East Midlands, and Staffordshire. This split role offers access to a new in-house lab, X-rays, and a great ultrasound machine. Both sites are PSS registered. Our team boasts various clinical interests, as well as certificate holders in ECC, medicine, exotics, and one of our vets is completing an imaging certificate.
Here’s what the team have to say
'I am a locum vet that has worked at Burton Vets regularly for most of 2024. This is a wonderfully friendly practice; the nurses and manager couldn't be any more supportive and caring, and they do provide M&S biscuits sometimes. The clients are lovely, with many returning owners and their super pets. Overall, this is a great practice.' – Carrie, VS
