Island Veterinary Associates are looking for a dedicated GP Vet to join their team! The successful candidate will carry out several vet duties including First Opinion veterinary Consults, Vaccinations, Health Checks, Neutering, General Surgery and Diagnostics to name but a few! We're keen to support candidates that may be relocating for the role, so we can offer a relocation allowance of up to £5000 to help you make the move. Fix or flex – find your perfect balance
We are happy to accept both full/part-time applications for this role, working on average 40 hours across 4 days per week, on a shared rota with a fair shift pattern. You will be required at work 1:6 Saturdays and there is no out of hours however you may need to cover inpatient care should the need arise. About Us
We are a friendly, small animal practice based in the county town of Stafford, surrounded by beautiful countryside. We also have great links to public transport and excellent rail access to anywhere in the UK. Our newly refurbished premises include 5 consulting rooms, a large waiting area, and a spacious clinical area with two large theatres, a central prep room, a dental room, and an imaging room. We have top-rated arthroscopy, laparoscopy, and endoscopy equipment, an excellent ultrasound machine, an in-house lab, and all the normal equipment. Our supportive and friendly team includes 2 certificate holders in Small Animal Surgery and another in training with a specific interest in orthopaedics. About the Team and Culture
By far the best thing about our practice is our fantastic team, which includes 7 vets supported by 7 registered veterinary nurses. We have 2 certificate holders in Small Animal Surgery, Feline Medicine, and imaging, and 5 of our RVNs have been here for over 10 years. We are a friendly and close-knit team that enjoys discussing cases and sharing knowledge to help everyone develop in their role.
