As a weekend Vet at Vets Now Portsmouth, you will work alongside a supportive team, and you will benefit from ongoing mentorship from the Principal Vet. Vets Now Portsmouth’s weekend team usually consists of one other Vet, two Nurses, one Animal Care Assistant and a Receptionist. We will work with you to find a rota that fits around your lifestyle and clinic requirements. We have various weekend shift options available, which include: 2:4 weekends – Saturday day shifts (12:00-19:30) and Sunday day shifts (08:00-19:30) 2:4 weekends – Saturday backshifts (15:00-00:00) and Sunday backshifts (08:00-18:00) Plus a fair share of bank holidays As a backshift Vet, you will often work as the second Vet on shift, providing an opportunity to share knowledge and work together on the more complex cases.
