MOT Tester/Mechanic
to join their team in the
Maidstone area . This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute their expertise in a busy, supportive, and growing workshop environment. About the Role: As an
MOT Tester/Mechanic , you will be responsible for carrying out MOT tests on a wide range of vehicles, diagnosing faults, and carrying out mechanical repairs and maintenance. This is a hands-on role that requires both technical expertise and a keen eye for detail to ensure that all vehicles are roadworthy and meet the highest standards of safety and performance. Key Responsibilities: Conduct
MOT tests
on cars, vans, and light commercial vehicles, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards. Diagnose faults
and carry out mechanical repairs and maintenance to ensure vehicles are in top condition. Provide customers with clear and accurate
advice on repairs , maintenance, and MOT results. Maintain high standards of
workshop cleanliness and safety . Keep detailed records of work completed, including MOT tests, repairs, and any parts used. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition. Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the workshop. Ideally, You Will Have: Full MOT Tester qualification
(Class 4 and 7). Proven experience as a
Mechanic , with strong diagnostic skills and a solid understanding of vehicle repair and maintenance. A valid
driving licence . Strong knowledge of
vehicle systems
and
MOT testing procedures . Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and keeping customers informed about the work carried out. Attention to detail
