We're working with a Level 4 LPCB-accredited fire sprinkler installation company that's renowned for delivering high-quality, compliant fire protection systems. They're looking for a talented Proposal Engineer to join their team and contribute to innovative, safety-driven projects. What You'll Do As a Proposal Engineer, you'll combine technical expertise with strategic sales to develop competitive and compliant proposals while fostering strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities Proposal Development: Create detailed, cost-effective proposals aligned with BS 9251, BS EN 12845, and NFPA standards. Collaborate with design and engineering teams to craft tailored solutions. Prepare accurate cost estimates and bills of quantities. Client Engagement: Act as the primary contact for clients during the proposal process. Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients. Deliver professional, clear technical presentations to stakeholders. Sales & Strategy: Identify and pursue new business opportunities. Follow up on proposals, negotiate terms, and secure contracts. Work closely with sales and marketing teams to align with business objectives. Project Handover: Ensure seamless transitions from proposal to execution by collaborating with project management teams.

What We're Looking For Essential: Minimum of 4 years in technical sales, proposal engineering, or related roles in fire safety or construction. Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler systems (e.g., Tyco, Viking, Victaulic) and standards such as BS 9251 and BS EN 12845. Proficiency in estimation tools and Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Desirable: Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Engineering, or related fields. Experience with CAD software. An established network within the fire safety industry.

£40,000-£55,000 (higher earning potential for exceptional candidates) Location:

Huddersfield office, with occasional site visits Work Model:

Hybrid - office-based, remote work, and travel as needed Bonus:
