We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Data Governance II to join our Divisional Data Office team. This role is located in Manchester, UK and will be working in a hybrid capacity.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

Work with a broad array of stakeholders across International Legal Entities (EMEA, APAC, LATAM) to address data governance matters and manage day-to-day activities related to the use of data Increase data literacy across International and serve as a single point of contact for understanding, disseminating and adopting applicable data management policies, standards and tooling Educate International stakeholders on the use of data management tools and processes within the tools; mentoring on deep use of data, data governance and data culture Support International stakeholders to answer regulatory enquiries, automate manual regulatory reporting processes and improve the accuracy of regulatory reports by leveraging BNY's enterprise data solutions and services Drive compliance with the Firm's data management policies and standards. Ensure data governance rules are communicated and adopted within assigned areas Review business requirements and provide support and data views which facilitate analysis and reporting activities Facilitate transparency over the business logic behind data transformations and co-author business rules with Data Producers and Data Consumer Develop and execute data and business intelligence data views, including assessment and monitoring of data quality issues in alignment with policy. Oversee data cleansing/remediation activities To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: Bachelor's degree in computer science, actuarial science, finance, economics, mathematics/statistics or the equivalent combination of education and experience Experience preferred in ensuring departmental data integrity; assessing and monitoring data quality issues against policies; creating business logic and rules; creating, editing, modifying, sharing and restricting access to data; monitoring and/or escalating data quality issues until resolution; attesting to data integrity as delivered to users; performing metadata management; remediating unresolved data incidents; defining the health and proper usage of owned data throughout the enterprise; serving in a data governance role in financial services Good communication skills, both written and verbal At BNY, our culture speaks for itself.
