Your Opportunity:

As the

Vice President of Development , you will hold a pivotal leadership role, steering the development of a diverse portfolio of solar and BESS projects. Leading a dedicated team of five developers, including senior and junior professionals, you will guide and mentor your team to achieve excellence. You’ll ensure projects are delivered with strategic focus, operational efficiency, and a clear alignment with our client’s mission to advance a sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead & Deliver:

Oversee the entitlement, interconnection, and permitting processes to ensure projects achieve critical milestones on time and within budget. Inspire & Manage:

Provide leadership to a talented team of five developers, fostering their growth and driving exceptional outcomes. Strategize & Guide:

Present comprehensive risk assessments and recommend strategies to senior leadership to address challenges and maintain project momentum. Collaborate & Optimize:

Work with cross-functional teams to refine project design and overcome regulatory, technical, and environmental challenges. Connect & Advocate:

Build strong relationships with local communities, permitting authorities, and utilities to support seamless project progression. Oversee & Execute:

Manage third-party consultants to incorporate specialized expertise into project delivery.

What You Bring:

A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in business, engineering, planning, or a related field. 7 years of leadership experience in renewable energy project development, particularly in solar and BESS. Have successfully led a team of five or more. Exceptional project management skills, with a proven ability to handle multiple, complex projects under tight deadlines. Expertise in GIS, real estate evaluation, and site compliance to ensure optimal project siting. A collaborative mindset and a track record of building productive relationships with local authorities, communities, and industry stakeholders. A results-driven approach and a passion for delivering clean energy solutions.
