Head of Engineering Location: Basildon Salary: £90,000 to £120,000 depending on experience plus competitive benefits package Our client, a market leader within the Defence / Space industry, is currently looking for a Head of Engineering to review, analyse, and evaluate business procedures in order to improve day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth processes. Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic direction and leadership across all aspects of Engineering, ensuring organisational goals and objectives are aligned. Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers to deliver projects to time, cost, and quality. Create a culture of excellence and accountability, inspiring team members to achieve their full potential and deliver exceptional results. Support business development activities by participating in customer meetings, providing input into proposals, and identifying engineers to support conceptual designs. Manage the R&D team to execute internal research to support programmes. Manage the Engineering overhead budgets, including training, engineering infrastructure, equipment, and R&D projects. Work with other departments to contribute to cross-functional excellence across the programmes. Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Experience in the development of electronics and/or imaging systems. Proven leadership experience overseeing large teams and complex organisations. Ability to build and maintain engineering teams that can execute challenging projects. Strong knowledge of electronics design and systems engineering. Seniority Level:
