We’re looking for a dynamic and resident-focused Village Manager with exceptional leadership, operational, and financial management skills, who is passionate about fostering community connections and delivering outstanding service. Some of the ways you’ll make a difference: Build lasting, inclusive relationships with residents, ensuring their voices are heard and their village experience is exceptional. Oversee day-to-day village operations, balancing management duties with hands-on engagement to create a welcoming and supportive community. Assist to drive sales, complete home reinstatements and maintain occupancy levels, collaborating with the Sales Manager to achieve commercial goals. Deliver a high standard of resident-focused service, fostering participation in activities and ensuring residents feel connected and valued. Lead and coach the on-site team to excel in customer service and operational excellence. Ensure the financial sustainability of the village by preparing budgets, managing costs, and providing transparent financial statements. Maintain compliance with the Retirement Villages Act and 2024 Reform Bill, while adhering to the Retirement Living Code of Conduct. Manage resident concerns with empathy and professionalism, ensuring resolutions align with policy and legislative standards. Oversee maintenance and presentation of village infrastructure, meeting and exceeding resident expectations. To help you achieve this, ideally you’ll have: A proven track record in operational management, with strong experience in retirement living viewed favourably. Experience managing assets in other sectors will also be considered. Strong financial acumen, including budget preparation and cost management. Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, coach, and build high-performing teams. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the maturity to interact with residents with empathy and respect. Commercial acumen and village management and sales experience, with a focus on maintaining occupancy and fostering a positive reputation. A strong understanding of the Retirement Living Code of Conduct, the Retirement Villages Act and associated regulations.
