The Violence Reduction Alliance Facilitator role is part of an initiative across Greater Manchester. The Greater Manchester Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) tackles the root causes of violent crime using a community-led approach, working collaboratively with health, education, youth justice, police, and the voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector. In partnership with 10GM, the VRU funds community-led initiatives across Greater Manchester’s ten boroughs, focusing on projects that engage young people aged 10 to 25 and their families, ensuring investments align with local priorities. The Violence Reduction Alliance Facilitator will strengthen collaboration between the locally funded ‘Alliance’ members, VRU, 10GM, and wider VCFSE organisations. This role will drive meaningful community engagement, support co-production, and ensure the effective delivery of violence reduction programs, helping to create safer and more resilient communities in Stockport.
