The Opportunity: Imago Techmedia are Clarion’s leading technology event series focusing on digital transformation, future of work and customer experience. We are seeking a professional, resilient and tenacious VIP Engagement Executive to take a crucial role within this dynamic portfolio. The candidate will lead on VIP outreach and engagement year-round but specifically across three annual exhibitions:
DTX + UCX (Manchester, April 2025) ,
IRX (Birmingham, May 2025) , and
DTX + UCX London (Oct 2025) . This is a customer-facing role which involves encouraging specific VIPs, on a sponsor target account list, to engage with sponsored activities and register to attend networking events onsite and throughout the year. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to establish themselves within the event/exhibition industry. They will need to have an excellent telephone manner, the ability to problem-solve, and a willingness to go the extra mile to assist our VIP audience both pre-event and onsite. Key Responsibilities: Supporting the acquisition of buy-side/VIP delegates with outreach via phone, email and social media. Ensuring a superior customer experience for VIPs throughout the campaign. Building and maintaining strong relationships with VIPs to foster brand commitment and loyalty. Inviting registered VIPs to attend sponsored roundtables/dinners/breakfasts as part of main events. Sending personalised invites to non-registered attendees based on sponsored ‘target account lists’ via LinkedIn, phone, email. Encouraging VIPs to take meetings onsite with exhibitors. Year-round engagement with the VIP community to understand their wants and needs. Supporting the content team with speaker outreach (from VIP persona). Supporting the marketing team with conversion of registered VIPs. Acting as facilitator onsite to ensure and support VIPs with location attendance and timings. Greet and assist buy-side VIPs onsite at events, ensuring they receive excellent care and engage in the networking/social programme. Inviting the VIP community to sponsored networking events year-round. Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours: Strong interpersonal skills, adept at engaging with high-level executives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to tailor communication to the audience. Strong negotiation and persuasion skills. Ability to handle and counter objections.
