Virtualisation Designer

This role is required as part of a large programme to design and upgrade the virtualised platform that enables services for our customer. The candidate will have extensive experience of implementation and troubleshooting technical issues with complex vSphere solutions, design documentation updates, and hands-on administration of vSphere. The candidate will take ownership of issues raised during test stages and be the main point of contact for virtualisation related work on this programme. The candidate will work closely with other teams (network architects, test, service architects, etc.) to ensure stability and growth.
Required Skills
Extensive vSphere experience, preferably vSphere 7 Strong knowledge and understanding of resilient network solutions to support vSphere solutions. Good experience of enterprise SAN solutions and specifically iSCSI focused. AD, DNS, DHCP, Routing, VLANs, RBAC, port groups with knowledge and impacts on a vSphere platform. Experienced in analysis and troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting the implementation and test phases of the solution and successful handover into service/support. Solid understanding of the project end-to-end cycle. Enterprise Application and Enterprise Management awareness.
