We are currently looking for an experienced CFD Methodology Engineer to be responsible for supporting the aerodynamic CFD development programme, and for the optimization process of the CFD workflow with final aim of improving the efficiency of the whole CFD process and correlations with WT/track in the full respect of the assigned deadlines and targets.


CFD Methodology


Improve the efficiency of the CFD throughput according to the target assigned


Identify process bottlenecks and raise issues with CFD


CFD code programming


CFD software benchmark


Activities to improve CFD correlation with WT and Track


Support the users with the CFD tools for aero development


Activities needed for improving the automation of the CFD process and make it use friendly for aerodynamicist

Experience

  • Phd/Master degrees in Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineer with specialization in Fluid Dynamic/Numerical Methods

  • Experience in utilizing CFD codes and Linux system

  • Experience in using Fluent would be preferred.

  • Experience using ANSA and NX would be considered as a plus.

  • Experience with numerical modelling and process automationA high technical ability and strong scripting/programming skills

  • Experience developing in C, C++, Python and bash would be considered as a plus.

  • Good communication and Teamwork skills

  • Collaborative attitude

  • Strong ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies

  • Remarkable attitude in problem solving and attention to details

  • Self-motivated and with a flexible approach to working hours

  • The determination and dynamism to meet tight deadlines

  • Available to be full-time based in Milton Keynes from January 2025
