Minstead Trust has a number of services along the South Coast, from Poole to Portsmouth. These services include: Supported living Residential Day Operations Central Services (Based in Minstead) We have a diverse range of staff, and we ask them to interact with a number of IT systems, which some people find challenging. We would like to establish a team of volunteer IT Trainers who can get alongside our staff teams, improving their general IT skills and encouraging them to use systems in a way that is consistent between the services. Who are we looking for?

We are especially looking for volunteers who are confident users of Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office – including Outlook, Word, and Excel. This role requires someone who is not only confident in their own IT knowledge but who is equally confident in their teaching and sharing of that knowledge with a wide variety of staff of differing skill sets. Therefore, we are seeking friendly, approachable, and engaging volunteers with great communication skills. We anticipate there would be a mix of small group sessions (2-3 people) as well as 1-1 training depending on the individuals or nature of what was being covered. Ideally, we’re looking for a minimum commitment of one full day per month (9:30 am – 4 pm), but we can happily be flexible. Location:

Portsmouth, New Forest, or Poole. About Minstead Trust:

Minstead Trust is a charity based in the New Forest and Portsmouth which offers a range of Supported Living, Residential Care, Day Opportunities, Community Programmes, and Social Enterprises (including Furzey Gardens and Hanger Farm Arts Centre) to over 320 adults with learning disabilities. Supporting them and their families, we provide opportunities which encourage the people we support to develop greater independence. We do this through improved health and well-being, the development of life skills, and increasing employability. In all our roles, we strongly encourage our volunteers to enthusiastically promote the work of Minstead Trust and to embrace our vision of an all-inclusive society.
