The VP of Global Account Management is responsible for the overall health and retention of a designated portfolio of corporate client accounts. This includes the leadership and management/development of Global Account Management team members and functional team members globally, overall financial performance and profitability, and supporting the procurement of new client accounts (new business development).
Description of Duty
Leadership:
Lead a best-in-class Global Account Management function
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Global Account Management Directors
Build the technical competency of the Account Management team
Client Retention and Development:
Develop global client strategies with the team focusing on client retention and improved financial performance
Work with the Account team to ensure solid client communication cadence
Work with the Account team to Identify and report on client trends
Oversee contract renewals
Oversee clients at risk process
New Business Development and Sales Support:
Ensure that every client is a good reference
Work with the global sales team on sales strategies when required and identify resources to support sales pursuits
Attend and participate in sales presentations when required
Assist the RFP team as needed
Collaborate with Global Operations teams:
Collaborate with functional teams to ensure client satisfaction goals are met
Collaborate with the global client implementation to onboard new clients successfully
Provide technical expertise to the training organization
Work with the Account team and business functions to manage and resolve client escalations
Oversee the management of client-specific Service Level Agreements
Collaborate with functional teams to build out best practices
Manage the revenue and margin growth for the client portfolio
Identify and manage product expansion for the client portfolio
Collaborate with the AR team to manage client receivables
Build client strategies to maximize return to the SIRVA organization
Manage team resources to budget including T&E
Qualifications and Preferred Skills:
Minimum 10 years of corporate client or account management experience required
Minimum 10 years of US domestic relocation and/or international assignment management experience, including operational management experience required
Minimum 5 years of team leadership experience required
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
Financial/Accounting knowledge, previous responsibility for P&L
Superior oral and written communication skills
Strategic planning abilities
Good understanding of business application technology
Global living/working experience preferred
