Responsibilities:
Ensures that services are delivered in a manner that maximizes effectiveness and efficiency.
Identifies ways to be more responsive to referral sources.
Responsible for providing oversight, coordination, leadership, and direction to the daily operation of family reimbursement services, and growth in community habilitation program, respite and vocational services programs.
Develops and drives department goals, objectives, policies, and procedures with a focus on service delivery and outcomes.
Provides regular updates to the families of people supported as necessary.
Collaborates with agency leadership to develop solutions to complex situations.
Represents the Adult Day Service programs to governmental service providers, school districts, community groups, and state agencies.
Reviews and evaluates work methods and procedures for improving organizational performance, organizational effectiveness, and productivity; identifies and resolves problems and/or issues.
Supports special projects and committees including but not limited to CQL, Self-Advocacy, DEI, Human Rights, Incident Review, and Employee Appreciation.
Management:
Manages department staff including the delegation of tasks and assignments, fosters teamwork, collaboration, and innovation; and inspires excellent performance.
Serves as a mentor to develop and motivate direct reports by setting clear expectations and work standards.
Works closely with senior team members to promote effective communication, facilitate information sharing and collaborative problem-solving methods.
Assists in the development and management of data management tools and analytics and supports a knowledge sharing system and working environment.
Ensures compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations as well as agency and program policies.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
At least ten years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
At least five years’ experience in a leadership position.
Current working knowledge of OPWDD, DOL, and ACCES-VR regulations; applicable federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
Must be able to display a high level of discretion and understand the sensitive nature of confidential information with superior emotional intelligence.
Salary Range:
$110,000 - $130,000
