£11.89 - £14.87 per hour plus an additional £10.87 allowance for each night worked. Shift Time:

Purpose of Job

To work with families, observing and recording the parents’ abilities to meet the safety and care needs of their children through daily observations. To ensure parents/carers prioritise the safety and welfare needs of their children. To create a supportive learning environment for parents and children. To provide childcare while parents/carers attend Groups and Individual Sessions. To ensure the safety of children and families during the night. Follow procedures to ensure building security at night. Duties and Responsibilities

To ensure the safety and welfare of children remains central to the assessment/intervention process. To actively participate in assessing children and families, observing, supervising, and recording interactions. To provide a service valuing and respecting the strengths and backgrounds of families. To ensure safety during the night, involving dynamic risk assessments. To carry out regular patrols and provide supervision as needed. To collaborate with night colleagues to plan shifts and support each other. To contribute to team meetings for practice and resource development. To use sensitivity in challenging and teaching parenting practices. To provide structured feedback to parents during and at the end of shifts. To manage workload effectively and meet deadlines for written recordings. To assist with childcare duties as required. To liaise with managers and source other agencies/resources as appropriate. To provide a culturally sensitive service for children and families. To promote equal opportunities and anti-oppressive practice. To implement Child Protection Procedures and the Centre’s policies. To participate in training and supervision, identifying relevant courses for development. To be aware of health and safety responsibilities at work. To provide evidence in court if required. Special Conditions: Required to work shifts, including weekends and Bank Holidays. Work in a flexible manner to meet the Centre's needs. Access multiple floors and assist with emergency procedures. Restrictions on personal phone/camera use. Compliance with the Centre’s Equal Opportunities Policy. Failure to report abuse may constitute a disciplinary offence.
