Due to career progression, we are looking to recruit a

Ward Manager

for our male psychiatric intensive care unit at Priory Hospital Arnold - Clumber ward. We recently had our team's hard work recognised by the Care Quality Commission and were rated good in all key areas. Our main focus now is to sustain this by focusing on patient and staff experience. provides acute adult mental health services for both local and out of area NHS patients. We are dedicated to working closely with our system partners to ensure that we are providing the best possible care for the people who use our service. The service offers a multidisciplinary team approach, working collaboratively to support patients through periods of crisis. The hospital comprises 4 wards, 2 Acute wards, and 2 PICU wards with a total of 52 inpatient beds. The post holder will lead and guide our male PICU ward and work closely with the Director of Clinical Services to promote a culture that fosters staff involvement and a progressive attitude to service improvement. The successful applicant will take operational and clinical day-to-day management responsibility at team level using performance management systems to ensure the effective delivery of contract activity and quality to required standards to meet contract specifications. It is expected that the post holder works to ensure that the care provided respects equality and diversity; is supportive of service users and their carers - agreeing on the best approach to meeting individuals' mental health, physical health, recovery, social, spiritual, and recreational care needs. Caring and creative individuals who have a positive approach to work and a strong multi-disciplinary team-working ethic. Candidates who are experienced in the provision of safe and professional care; have a good awareness of risk management and an in-depth knowledge of the Mental Health Act. Candidates with excellent communication skills and attention to detail in clinical documentation and all correspondence. You get:

Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with an active NMC PIN Registration. Desire and motivation to work within an acute environment. Motivated, flexible, and ready to take on a new challenge. Willingness to work as part of an established hospital, with a collaborative and supportive MDT, that provides a clear pathway for the patients in our care. Focused on patient-centered care.
