Leading and developing the nursing team and the support teams by being a visible and strong role model providing leadership and direction to the team, capitalising on research and development opportunities, providing clinical supervision and advice for staff and students in order to support them in reaching their full potential. Ensuring the productive operation of the department through the monitoring and maintenance of standards that create a safe, clean, and organised environment and by using processes designed to increase the time nurses spend in therapeutic contact with patients.
