Are you a compassionate leader and a positive role model, with a strong work ethic and an interest in palliative care? If so, please read on... We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic nurse to manage our fifteen-bedded inpatient unit here at the Wisdom Hospice. You will need to be able to evidence experience of line-managing a team, experience of working with patients with life-limiting illness, and experience of working within a multi-disciplinary setting. This full-time role will combine both managerial and clinical work, working mainly Monday to Friday, with one weekend day and one night shift per month. There will also be a period of covering the palliative care on-call service on a rotational basis, generally for one week per month. The post holder will have a key leadership role in the day-to-day management of the IPU in order to ensure a consistently high standard of patient care on the unit. Key Responsibilities: Actively participate in the delivery of a consistently high standard of specialised palliative care. Foster good working relationships and communicate with members of the multi-disciplinary team, other healthcare professionals, and users of service to ensure the delivery of high standards of effective healthcare. Participation in senior manager on-call rota. So what else?
