A5 is a 28 bedded Ward that makes up the Orthopaedic Fracture Neck of Femur Unit. Ward A5 is a 28 bedded trauma orthopedic unit based on the 1st floor at Wythenshawe hospital. We have a high number of fragility fracture patients and a dedicated trauma coordinator's team to expedite surgery. We work closely with the MDT to ensure right care, right place and right patient. Many of our patients live with dementia and our nurses excel in building relationships with the patients and relatives alike. Main duties of the job
A successful individual must be highly motivated to take on this challenge, meeting head on the pressure to maintain high standards and delivery of quality care, whilst leading the nursing team. The post holder will manage all aspects of clinical standards and professional practice within the service and will manage and coordinate staff budget resources and the environment. You will demonstrate key leadership and management skills and will be responsible for providing clinical and professional leadership for a team of staff supporting the service, incorporating work to maintain the quality of the patient experience. Qualifications
Registered Practitioner on relevant part of professional register (RGN) Teaching Experience Educated to diploma level Qualified in specialty Graduate Nursing Degree Experience
Substantial experience at Band 6 Grade in acute hospital setting.
