Admitting patients and preparing them for theatre. First stage recovery takes place in the post anaesthetic care unit, this includes airway management. Second stage recovery takes place in the ward area. Receive handover of the patient and commence post operative care. Perform nurse led discharges. The successful candidate will be expected to work in both the PACU and ward area in day surgery. Competency-based training will be provided in both areas. Working for our organisation

Previous experience as a PACU practitioner. Previous experience on a ward. Previous paediatric experience. Evidence of competency in a range of clinical skills. I.V. Drug administration. Cannulation.
