INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY An exciting opportunity has become available in the frailty team. We are looking for an experienced Nurse to step into the post of ward sister / charge nurse for Dinmore ward, in order to provide maternity cover. You will be expected to provide leadership and support to the nursing team on the ward and ensure standards are maintained. Dinmore ward is a 24 bedded frailty unit offering Ortho-geriatrician input for patients who have experienced a fractured neck of femur and general frailty patients. Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for the day to day running of Dinmore ward, supporting the staff, and ensuring we deliver the best possible care to our patients. This will cover all aspects of the Band 7 ward sister / charge nurse role including staffing and rosters for the nursing team, ensuring patient care standards are met, ensuring ward governance standards are met, investigating and responding to incidents, concerns & complaints. You will be supported by the Dinmore junior sisters as well as 2 fellow frailty sisters on Ashgrove and Garway ward. Similarly, you will work closely with the Frailty matron to manage the ward.
