Responsibilities: Plan collections in a cost-efficient manner. Report and rectify problems as quickly as possible. Ensure the smooth running of all collections, shunts, and transfers. Plan collections with approved 3rd parties. Adhere to all customer requirements (e.g., time-constrained jobs). Maintain regular contact with 3rd party suppliers to monitor journeys and potential issues. Provide clients with information on aspects such as traffic problems. Input all collections onto Phoenix. Arrange transfers between warehouses and loading depots. Coordinate “sweeps” for efficient costing on set days from areas such as Heathrow, Bradford, and Newcastle. Coordinate with the warehouse on day-to-day issues relating to container availability and quay shunts. Check inventory reports to ensure cargo is available and ready for loads. Support customer service, warehouse, and operations with 3rd party loading.
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of LCL Transport/Warehouse experience.
Computer Knowledge: Good level of MS software and awareness of industry tools & technological developments.
Salary: Depending on Experience.
