Warehouse First Line Manager

in our Currys RDC in Newark. The role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis. You’ll join us on a ‘4 on 4 off’ night shift pattern, working 18:45 - 06:45, although some flexibility is required during peak times – this is logistics after all! Pay, benefits and more: You’ll be paid a salary of up to

£34,143.60

per annum, there will also be an additional night shift premium of 20% between 20:00 and midnight, and 30% from 00:01 to 07:00. What you’ll do on a typical day: Be responsible for a team in one of our key outbound operational areas in our RDC, playing a key role in achieving our daily targets and KPIs, striving with your team to achieve a best on class operation. You will use your people skills to have great conversations with your team on performance related issues and you will be comfortable in having these 121-discussions understanding how to get the best from your teams whilst supporting them and recognising great individual performance. You will have a great understanding of warehouse management systems and will use your skills to keep your team working efficiently and effectively. With your keen eye for detail, you will be comfortable completing, maintaining and improving shift reports relating to people, performance and regulatory compliance. What you need to succeed at GXO: Experience leading a team of warehouse colleagues within a large, fast paced warehouse environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Experience managing conflicting priorities, with the ability to plan and organise a warehouse operation. Strong IT skills, including warehouse systems and Microsoft Office.
