Job role:
As the Warehouse Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing warehouse operations, including receiving raw materials, shipments of products, storing and managing inventory, and dispatching goods to customers and end-users. Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, and inventory. Make improvements to storage and organize new storage solutions. Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals. Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics. Check orders after picking for accuracy, advising warehouse staff of any errors to minimize future discrepancies. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing H&S standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations. Essential skills and qualifications:
Five or more years of experience in warehouse management. Experience in a food manufacturing or food warehousing environment. Strong people management skills. Excellent problem-solving skills & able to think outside the box. A strong understanding of Health & Safety in a food-based environment. Able to implement and follow policy and advise all stakeholders of issues by delivering effective feedback. Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team development and performance improvement.
