This is a great opportunity for a strong people leader who is able to lead by example and encourage positive change. As Warehouse Manager, you will oversee a small team of 5, working closely with internal departments to ensure customer demands are met and business targets are achieved. The business is seeking a strong communicator who is able to identify and implement change to improve process and efficiency. You will be responsible for encouraging individual performance and working collectively to achieve company objectives. Previous experience in a management/supervisory role in a warehouse environment is essential. Knowledge and experience of working within supply chain and logistics would be a distinct advantage. Training and support will be in place, development will be encouraged, and this will be a key role as the business continues to expand over the coming years. The Company:

A successful and ambitious local business. Multiple sites across the UK with their head office and main distribution centre based in Peterborough. Company pension scheme. Development and progression opportunities. Working hours – Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5pm (occasional evenings, overtime paid on all additional hours). Salary – dependent on experience. The Role – Warehouse Manager:

Manage all warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and shipping. Implement and maintain inventory control systems to ensure accurate stock levels. Work closely with the purchasing team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods. Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of 5 warehouse staff. Identify areas for operational improvement. Develop and implement best practices to improve productivity, accuracy, and efficiency. Ensure compliance with health and safety and regulatory standards, conducting regular audits and training sessions. Manage inventory and quality control. Coordinate with the logistics team to optimise scheduling and routing of deliveries. The Individual:

A proven leader and people person. This role is well suited to a supervisor or team leader who has previously worked with a small team. Someone who can create a cohesive team environment and get the best out of their employees. A strong communicator who can work well with the wider business. Organised, able to manage a busy schedule and delegate accordingly. Previous warehouse management/supervisory experience. Attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), inventory software, and Microsoft Office Suite. Forklift license is preferred.
