Job Summary: Supervises the overall warehouse and dock operations. Oversees receipt of warehouse and dock shipments according to department procedures and ensures proper placement of goods in the warehouse and on the dock. Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes, oversight of 6-8 Warehouse personnel. Duties/Responsibilities: Fills orders and issues supplies upon receipt of approved requisitions according to department procedures. Prepares and maintains reports and records as required and ensures that receiving and requisition data entry are completed on a timely basis. Directs and participates in scheduled and special inventories. Assists in planning and coordinating the transfer of materials from the warehouse and dock. Counsels, guides, and instructs assigned team members in the proper performance of duties to ensure that all team members are thoroughly trained in all aspects of the warehouse/dock operations. Sets team members’ work schedules and coordinates vacations, as necessary. Ensures all warehouse vehicles are regularly maintained and kept in safe operating condition. Works to develop more efficient and effective storage and control procedures. Keeps the Buyers and Director of Purchasing & Warehouse informed of all pertinent information regarding the warehouse and dock operations. Assists the Director of Purchasing & Warehouse in evaluating, developing and implementing warehouse and dock procedures. Performs related duties as requested or assigned. Conducts self always in a professional manner and encourages others to do the same. Motivate, train & lead the warehouse staff to establish a positive safe environment. Assist Inventory Control with daily inquiries and inventory reconciliations. Ensure quality conditions of all products. Make recommendations as to hiring, terminating, and promoting warehouse staff. All other duties as assigned. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Minimum of two years warehousing and inventory experience. Minimum of one-year supervisory experience. Mature judgment and good organizational skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and time and attendance systems and Inventory Purchasing system experience a plus. Ability to obtain insurance under company driving policy. Ability to run a forklift and obtain proper licensing. Ability to communicate with Team members and guests. Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations: Gaming license/registration as required by the Virginia Lottery Board. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills, with particular attention to quality and detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization. Physical Requirements: Able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time; stoop, bend, twist, reach, push/pull and regularly lift 25 pounds and occasionally lift 50 pounds. Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week, including holidays.
