Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the warehouse, ensuring efficient processes, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management, business processes, and effective team leadership.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate all warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
Implement and maintain warehouse systems to optimise efficiency and accuracy.
Oversee the operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure safe practices are followed.
Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure seamless operations.
Analyse profit and loss statements to identify areas for improvement in operational efficiency.
Develop and enforce policies and procedures that enhance productivity while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse staff to foster a high-performance culture.
Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
Requirements
Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
Familiarity with AS400 or similar warehouse management systems is highly desirable.
Knowledge of business processes related to warehousing, shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
Experience operating forklifts; certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Understanding of supply chain principles and practices.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
