We have an opportunity for a Warehouse Manager who will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management and control of the warehouse operation whilst achieving agreed budgetary and service levels, ensuring the right number of materials, goods, and products are in the right location to feed the business's manufacturing and after-sales divisions to satisfy customer demand. Providing an effective and reliable service to customers whilst meeting all legal requirements and organising the safe and efficient receipt, storage and despatch of warehouse materials, goods, and products. The role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, administration and general management issues including the management of staff and supervisors. Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Warehouse team including developing and coaching your team. Organise your team's workload and report on progress and risks along with mitigation plans. Deliver to our strategic plan, to ensure the department is operating at the most efficient level in line with business needs. Create, modify and improve processes and procedures within your department in relation to material control. Meet existing KPI's. Monitor and create reaction plans to ensure the department is performing to the business needs. Monitor stock inventory levels and accuracy. Plan future capacity requirements. Ensure inventories are accurate and control inventory levels by ensuring physical counts are conducted and reconciled. Champion all things Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People within the team. Conduct regular communications with the head of department when required and escalate any concerns as they arise with resolution plans when needed. Drive a zero-tolerance mindset for deviation from the use of quality processes to ensure customer deliverables are met in full. Continuously review ways to aid efficiency, add value and reduce costs as well as delivering continuous improvement initiatives. Identify any systems improvements and drive through recommendations for change. Ensure efficient and effective use of warehouse space to include layout and future capacity requirements. Create policies and procedures for warehouse activities and ensure all systems meet the standards for accreditation in line with the quality systems. Ensure any hazardous materials are stored in accordance with requirements. Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures. Ensure a clean and tidy working environment to aid operational efficiency. About You

Knowledge and Experience

Logistics or Supply Chain qualification advantageous. Previous management and team development experience with the ability to manage and motivate others. Demonstrable experience of the end-to-end supply chain, with particular emphasis on system focused control of stock. Extensive knowledge of MRP systems. Demonstrable experience from a manufacturing environment where there are multiple internal/external customers to service. Extensive knowledge of material kitting. Experience of a project environment would be beneficial but not essential. Skills and Abilities

Excellent and proven people management skills, supporting at all levels with the ability to lead, manage and motivate a skilled team to meet objectives and agreed targets. Analytical and logical problem solving, ability to make decisions. Aptitude for handling change and continuous improvement. Able to communicate at various levels. Stakeholder awareness. Highly developed inter-personal and communication skills coupled with the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels within the business. Good IT skills, in particular spreadsheets and databases and a knowledge of warehouse management systems. Excellent attention to detail. Proactively contribute to creating a good team atmosphere. Resilient, influential with a can do/will do attitude. Forklift Truck license is advantageous. What can we offer you
