We are currently looking to hire an experienced, self-starting Warehouse Manager to join our Manufacturing site close to Leeds. The purpose of this role is to ensure that all consumables, raw-materials, purchased-parts and finished goods are effectively managed ‘at’ and ‘through’ our Sherburn manufacturing site. Leading a small team, and in alignment with the Co & site strategy, improve the effectiveness of both the team and the processes by creating, owning and implementing an 12-month department plan. Key Responsibilities

Through an 12-month functional plan: Ensure a highly-skilled, flexible, stable and effectively-resourced warehouse team is developed. Working with a strong company culture and exceptional team morale. Review and improve warehouse layout and material flow for safer and more efficient operations, better space optimisation and competitive operating costs. Ensure inventory is accurately controlled, counted & accounted for, continually reviewed and optimised. Review group-wide stocking and purchasing strategies making recommendations for improvement & opportunities. Lead the change of warehouse operations/footprint as part of a significant site expansion project. Be a proactive and progressive member of the wider Operations Management Team by taking action and coaching others to holistically raise the effectiveness and maturity of the site. Essential Skills/Experience Required

Managing a team of up to 10 warehouse operatives in manufacturing business (for 5+ years). Basic HR management policy & procedures. Goods-in and business-to-business logistics. Computerised Warehouse Management System deployment. 3PL Logistics and haulage. Highly PC literate and self-starting to develop IT skills (Excel/Word/WHM/ERP etc). Component-based manufacturing and or sub-assembly manufacturing. Multi-site (inter-company) warehousing & supply chains. Specifying and deploying WHM systems (Warehouse Management Systems).
