Nightshift Warehouse Operations Manager
At Menzies Distribution we have an opening for an experienced Nightshift Warehouse Operations Manager to come and join our team in Linwood. The Details
Salary: £35,000 -£40,000 Per Annum (depending upon experience) Location: Phoenix Retail Park, East Avenue, Linwood PA1 2FD45hrs per week, Five days from seven which will include weekend coverage.22:30pm - 07:30am Key Duties:
You will be responsible for maximising the performance of the operations by directing the daily, weekly and monthly activities, providing leadership, motivation, training and development of the workforce, executing against customer requirements. Ability to manage remote teams where necessary and dealing with customers on a daily basis.
Operations Manager Duties:
Accountable for the management and supervision of the dispatch operation.Manage, support and develop the operational teamEnsure the performance of the operation exceeds customer expectations in line with recognised contract KPI's.Liaise, support and develop effective working relationships with internal and external customersEnsure operational compliance including H&SAssist the Regional Manager in ensuring all operational performance standards are metManage the team, undertaking regular reviews plan and arrange for the training and development of operational staffEnsure and monitor effective use of driver and vehicle resourcesEstablish and develop working relationships with the customerCompile and analyse operational and financial performance data to identify service efficiencies and improvement around, MPG, Tachos, fuel and damage.Coordinate site housekeeping/maintenance to ensure H&S requirements are upheldSome UK travelling maybe required. Operations Manager Requirements:
Knowledge of Drivers Hours, Tachograph and WTD legislation.Knowledge of Health & Safety.Able to manage, motivate and develop peopleBudget managementProject managementKPI development and measurementAbility to plan and organise effectively to meet deadlinesAbility to use and understand computerised systems including TMS and WMS systemsHigh level of accuracy and numeracy, keen eye for detailTransport management experience Benefits:
