WHAT IS ON OFFER Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Waste Analyst to join our Energy Services team in Rotherham, UK. As a Waste Analyst, you will be required to sort and weigh various waste streams including household black bag waste. This role needs to be undertaken efficiently and accurately in order to provide our clients with the knowledge they require. You will be working with the Deputy Sampling & Sample Preparation Manager to ensure that an effective and high-quality service is provided to meet reporting deadlines. Our Waste Analysts are required to undertake various analytical tasks including composition analysis and sample preparation in accordance with our procedures and the requirements of ISO 17025. To be successful at Alfred H Knight, you will need to display the following: REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE Essential: Highly organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inform others. Open and honest at all times. Strong relationship-building skills internally and externally. Highly motivated, with the ability to work on your initiative in a dynamic work environment with changing priorities. Positive ‘can do’ attitude. Strong quality focus with a strive for excellence. A team player, working alongside others with positivity and respect. A willingness to take full ownership of the role and to go above and beyond. Proficient IT skills – Microsoft and Google applications. Good numeracy skills. Ability to work away from home as required by contracts for up to a week at a time. A full UK driving licence with the ability to drive up to a 3.5-ton van. Travel: Travel and work rotations as dictated by work schedules and the needs of the business. The role is based in the UK and will require both UK and international travel.
