What the role involves

• Conduct Legionella risk assessments on domestic hot and cold water systems and communal water systems.
• Inspect system components including storage tanks, calorifiers, TMVs, showers, pipework, expansion vessels, and dead legs.
• Carry out temperature monitoring, water sampling, and system inspections as required.
• Identify hazards and evaluate risks relating to system design, condition, and operation.
• Provide clear recommendations for remedial actions and ongoing control measures.
• Preparing detailed risk assessment reports including photographs, system descriptions, and risk ratings.

Skills and requirements

• City & Guilds Legionella Risk Assessment qualification (or equivalent).
• Understanding of BS 8580-1 standards.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in water hygiene or water treatment environments.
• Experience conducting Legionella risk assessments across residential and/or commercial properties.
