What the role involves
- Conduct Legionella risk assessments on domestic hot and cold water systems and communal water systems.
- Inspect system components including storage tanks, calorifiers, TMVs, showers, pipework, expansion vessels, and dead legs.
- Carry out temperature monitoring, water sampling, and system inspections as required.
- Identify hazards and evaluate risks relating to system design, condition, and operation.
- Provide clear recommendations for remedial actions and ongoing control measures.
- Preparing detailed risk assessment reports including photographs, system descriptions, and risk ratings.
Skills and requirements
- City & Guilds Legionella Risk Assessment qualification (or equivalent).
- Understanding of BS 8580-1 standards.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in water hygiene or water treatment environments.
- Experience conducting Legionella risk assessments across residential and/or commercial properties.
