About the opportunity Our Water Network teams are located across the UK & Ireland, working for multiple clients on all aspects of potable infrastructure & non-infrastructure from feasibility assessment and optioneering to operational support, optimisation and smart networks. To meet our growing UK business needs and future development aspirations we are looking for Water Network Engineers/Modellers at various levels, from engineer to principal, to join our team. This role will be based at our various UK offices on a hybrid working arrangement, operating as part of our diverse and dynamic UK team. We also offer the opportunity to work with our global client base and operate as a truly national collaborative team. The successful candidate will have the opportunities to lead on a wide variety of projects, such as water trading, large capital design, water quality modelling, network design, leakage optimisation, and network operation. You will implement industry leading solutions and be encouraged to develop innovative approaches. You will support or lead the development of the local teams and assist in the growth of our UK water team. Primary Job Responsibilities: Deliver technical projects within programme and budget. Ensure high-quality delivery from yourself and your team. Build and maintain strong client relationships. Develop methodologies, guidance, and templates for engineering and modelling projects. Initiate and develop innovative approaches to create efficiency and added value. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams internally and externally. Mentor and support team members in their career development. Lead or support the tendering process, including proposals and cost estimation. Promote health and safety in all activities. Here's what you'll need: Excellent knowledge in water network, modelling and engineering design. Proven track record in the use of hydraulic models to solve engineering problems. Proven track record of leading on client liaison and converting opportunities into projects. Excellent communication skills. Able to communicate project findings confidently and clearly with technical and non-technical audiences. Strong writing skills including engineering report, guidance document and proposal. Excellent data analysis skills and problem-solving skills. Able to work under pressure to meet challenging targets. Passion for taking on new challenges with clients in the water industry. Experience of leading and growing a team. Experience in GIS packages and data visualisation. Experience in coding and tool development. Innovative problem-solving skills.
