About the job:
We are seeking talented Water Servicepeople and Water Technicians to join our team of everyday heroes here in the Christchurch Water Reticulation team! This role involves actively repairing and maintaining the water reticulation networks in the area through servicing all valves and hydrants, installing water main pipes and/or connections, and repairing leaks, service pipes, and connections on a scheduled and reactive basis. This role is full-time, Saturday – Wednesday. What you’ll need:
2-5+ years of relevant industry experience. Physically fit, health and safety focused, and able to work well in a team as well as independently. Sound knowledge of plant and equipment required for all water activities. A full class 1 licence is essential – wheels, tracks and rollers endorsement is advantageous. A NZ Certificate in Infrastructure Works, Level 3 or 4 is advantageous, but not essential – if you’re a hard worker, we will help you to obtain this! All preferred candidates will be required to complete pre-employment checks to the employer’s satisfaction. These checks include but are not limited to, ministry of Justice criminal conviction report, medical assessment, and drug and alcohol testing. Please note that most of our team will be taking a break from 20 December 2024, returning 6 January 2025, and candidates may experience delays in receiving a response over this period.
