Overview We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Web Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of web design principles and be proficient in various design tools. You will play a key role in creating visually appealing and user-friendly websites that meet our clients' needs. This position requires a blend of technical skills and artistic vision, ensuring that our web presence is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Responsibilities Design and develop engaging, responsive websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and translate them into effective design solutions. Create wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to illustrate design concepts. Utilise Adobe Creative Suite for graphic design tasks. Implement web design best practices to ensure optimal user experience across various devices. Maintain and update existing websites using WordPress and other content management systems. Stay current with emerging web technologies and trends to enhance the functionality of our designs. Work closely with developers to ensure seamless integration of visual elements with back-end functionalities. Requirements Proven experience in web design, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX for interactive elements. Familiarity with frameworks such as React for building user interfaces. Experience using WordPress for website development and management. Strong knowledge of digital design principles and responsive web design techniques. Excellent skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) for graphic creation. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills. A degree or relevant qualification in Web Design or a related field is preferred but not essential.
