Days, Friday to Sunday, 6am to 6pm We're supporting our client, a leading, family-run manufacturer based in Kentchurch, who are looking for a Weekend Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team. The successful Mechanical Engineer will have previous experience of operating in a medium/large, automated manufacturing operation within a heavy industry, as well as mechanical qualifications. Job Summary:
As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll perform reactive maintenance to address breakdowns and minimise downtime, as well as conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure machinery runs efficiently and reliably. Responsibilities for Weekend Mechanical Engineer:
Perform reactive maintenance to address breakdowns and minimize downtime. Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure machinery runs efficiently and reliably. Diagnose and repair mechanical related faults. Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Ensure all maintenance work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement solutions to enhance equipment performance and productivity. About You:
Mechanical qualifications (time served apprenticeship). 5+ years' experience of operating in a medium/large, automated manufacturing operation within a heavy industry. Experience in a maintenance mechanical engineering role. Experience of welding and fabrication (Preferably MMA, MIG & MAG). Experience of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) and stock control systems. Experience of working with engineering schedule KPIs. Effective communication skills and a team player. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail. Extensive knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics. Job Application:
