Weight Management Coach (Adults & Pregnant Women Specialist)

to join our multidisciplinary team. This role focuses exclusively on providing weight management support for pregnant women throughout their pregnancy and into the postpartum period and adults. This service targets adults aged 16 years and above and offers nutritional guidance and physical activity interventions to support weight loss, weight maintenance, and overall health improvement.

You will also play a crucial role in promoting healthier lifestyles, ensuring pregnant women and new mothers receive tailored guidance on healthy weight management, nutrition, and physical activity during and after pregnancy.

The service aims to support women in maintaining a healthy weight during pregnancy, providing postpartum weight loss advice, and offering nutrition and weaning guidance for early years. You will work closely with midwives, health visitors, breastfeeding providers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver a seamless, comprehensive support system.

This role will focus on direct client engagement and the delivery of one-to-one and group interventions. You will have the ability to support clients in community settings and virtually via phone/video calls. You will also manage your own caseload effectively.

As a coach specialising in pregnant women, you will contribute to reducing health inequalities by targeting deprived communities and under-represented groups such as ethnic minorities.

For supporting adults, the successful candidate will work directly with clients, delivering tailored weight management programmes designed to meet their unique needs. You will utilise a person-centred approach that prioritises emotional wellbeing, helping clients understand the relationship between emotions and food, develop self-help strategies, and make long-term behavioural changes.

This role will need to have the ability to travel independently within the Liverpool area so you will need to be able to drive and own a car as the role involves work in various community settings.

You will also be required to travel to the Wirral office from time to time for training and team meetings.
