VACANCY: Welding Inspector (Ultrasonic)

Our inhouse capabilities include large format Laser Cutting and Press Braking, CNC Precision Machining, Fabrication & Welding, Shot Blasting, Painting and final Assembly. Continued expansion across the business has created an opportunity for an experienced Welding Inspector to join our team to work on a diverse portfolio of prestigious engineering projects. The role will involve a specific focus on visual welding inspection and Ultrasonic testing to ensure that our manufactured products meet both internal and external standards, function effectively, and meet the customer’s requirements and expectations. ABOUT THE ROLE: Monitor fabricators Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities Review approved Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS) Review Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) Review Welders Performance Qualifications records (WPQ) Provide Independent Welding and Fabrication support and advice Review of Fabrication Inspection and Test Plans and final fabrication pack Visual inspections of weld set up/weld quality, completion of dimensional inspections as required Review and endorse NDT reports in a timely manner Prescribe and monitor weld repairs to code Verify the application of NDT methods for inspection activities Maintain a contemporaneous record of daily activities ABOUT YOU: Expert knowledge and experience in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) A flexible approach to be able to adapt to changing and challenging requirements Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels Ability to remain focused on Quality and consistently reiterate its importance to others Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate innovative concepts and ideas WHAT WE OFFER: A culture of shared values, goals, attitudes and business growth Competitive salary 33 days holiday (including statutory Public Holidays) Secure onsite free parking Life Assurance plan (Death in Service) Monthly Prize Draw Company pension plan Costco Membership Reduced gym membership Healthcare Plan Colleague Referral Programme: we pay you for successfully referring people to join our team Companywide initiatives to share in our future success A blend of training to support your career development WORKING HOURS: · 37.5 hours per week o Monday – Friday § 0600-1400 or 0700-1500 We know that our people are the most important asset to MTL Advanced, and we are looking for skilled, passionate and driven professionals to work with our inspirational leaders, promote our culture and enable change.
