Welding Engineer (Technical Advisor)

on a 12 month+ contract based in Leatherhead, Surrey.

On Offer: Competitive hourly pay rate Outside IR35, highly likely so engagement via a Ltd Co. is permitted Hybrid working - 3 days in the office, 2 days from home Responsibilities / Experience:

IWE / EWE certified Welding engineer required to provide welding and fabrication support for process plant equipment and piping systems, fabrication of pressure vessels, process equipment, piping, and structures to standards - ASME VIII, ASME B31.3, API RP 582, and AWS standard. Develop and review WPQR and WPS based on ASME IX / EN ISO 15609 / ISO 15614. Review heat treatment procedures, weld repairs, and identify the requirement for development of weld procedure qualification and subsequent WPS if required by the project. Develop requirements for tie-in plant site fabrication and shop fabrication and inspection specifications. Fabrication of pressure vessels and equipment in 300 series stainless steel grades, Nickel alloys, and ferritic-austenitic stainless steel grades. Specify applicable mechanical, metallurgical, and corrosion acceptance criteria as per relevant standard. Identify NDE requirements as per relevant international standard.
