Chatteris, Cambridgeshire The Role Do you have a sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of welding standards? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! We are a total manufacturing solution facility for the supply of medium to large fabricated and machined equipment, seeking a Welding Inspector to join our team. In this exciting new role, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the integrity of our products by inspecting welded items throughout the manufacturing process. This role starts at GBP36,000 pa and can increase on successful completion of the 3-month probationary period. Note:

Working hours would be up to 46 per week when needed, with core working hours being: Monday-Thursday 7.30am-4.30pm with 1 hr unpaid lunch break Friday 7.30am-12.30pm If you believe you have the skills and experience to excel in this role, apply today. Key Responsibilities: Inspect incoming materials for composition and dimensional accuracy. Inspect welded and fabricated items throughout production. Perform non-destructive testing methods, including: Radiographic Testing (RT). Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT). Penetrant Testing (PT). Ultrasonic Testing (UT). Visual inspections. Raise defect reports and recommend improvements. Ensure compliance with ISO9001 and ISO45001 standards. Metalcraft is renowned for the supply of both pressure vessels and vacuum vessels along with medium to large machining. The Person Experience in welding inspection and non-destructive testing. Familiar with geometrical tolerancing (BS8888). Proficient in reading engineering and fabrication drawings. PCN DPI Level 2 and PCN Weld Inspection Level 2 or CSWIP 3.1 qualifications. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to work independently and within a team, with a focus on continuous improvement.
