Pastoral Care and Student Support
Provide emotional support and guidance to students adjusting to a new environment
Collaborate with other staff members to address individual student needs
Professional Conduct
Follow instructions and directives from line managers (DoS and CM) promptly and professionally
Contribute to a positive work environment by maintaining a cooperative and respectful attitude
Be flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities as assigned by your line managers
Adhere to all IHL Young Learners policies, procedures, and codes of conduct
Welfare Team
Support House supervisors and provide guidance
Observe house meetings and provide feedback
Ensure House supervisors have rota and mobilise them during on-call hours
Carry out appraisals at the end of the summer
Hold meetings with House supervisors - ensure they are up to date on information for house meetings
Respond to emails for Welfare department
Host Centre
Liaise with host centre staff regarding cleanliness, etc.
Ensure host centre staff are aware of any damage in rooms or boarding houses
Communicate regarding maintenance issues
Transfer Day
Liaise with centre administrator to ensure rooms are ready for arrivals
Ensure house supervisors are aware of arrival/departures
Remind house supervisors to check rooms for damage
Student Welfare
Take care of students who are unwell
Report incidents, sickness and concerns
Provide emotional support to students
Administer medicine to students when necessary

3 meals a day, and access to tea and coffee throughout the day

Minimum Requirements
Educated to GCSE standard 5 A-C grades (including English and Maths) or equivalent
Proficient English Speaker
IT literate with focus on Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
Excellent understanding of children's welfare
Experience in residential/pastoral duties
Experience in people management
Young Learner experience
Working with mixed nationality students
Excellent interpersonal skills with a client focused approach
Ability to both lead and work as part of a team
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Good IT skills
Confidence to take initiative and work autonomously
Ability to problem solve in the moment
Satisfactory DBS check/Police Check.
