Castle Retirement Village is on the lookout for a Wellbeing Advisor to work either 8am-2pm, 2pm-8pm, or sleeping nights 8pm-8am. Your shift pattern will vary, but preferences will be taken into consideration. This is a 24 Hour (per week) Permanent Contract. Our retirement village is more than just a place to live; it’s a thriving community where residents enjoy an active, fulfilling, and happy retirement. We are committed to providing the highest standard of care and promoting the well-being of our residents. As a Wellbeing Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of our residents. Your responsibilities will include: Responding to emergency calls within the Village and delivering first aid where needed. Promoting the health and wellbeing of older people living within the Village to help maintain independence and safety for residents. Carrying out wellbeing assessments for residents and enhancing the current wellbeing service. Supporting the monitoring of the emergency call system, reporting issues and faults to the village manager. Signposting to healthcare professionals e.g., GP / primary care services. Providing information and awareness sessions about key health issues such as osteoporosis / falls prevention, heart disease, etc. Helping to set up wellbeing focus groups to meet up on a monthly basis where appropriate. Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety in your location adhere to RVG’s Health and Safety policies and requirements. Documenting interactions with residents thoroughly and ensuring they are accurately recorded. Minimum Requirements: Experience in managing older people. Experience or knowledge of primary care and referral to primary care. Ability to analyse risk and respond appropriately, seeking support as necessary. Emergency first aid qualified ideally, but training can be provided; able to get to the floor unaided and unassisted; confident in administering CPR until further help arrives. Full understanding of supporting a resident in an emergency situation and supporting until emergency services arrive. Experience in providing Wellbeing Advice.
